California Adventure and Newport Beach

Our 3rd day at Disneyland was spend at California Adventure. This was my first time at that park, and I was blown away. It is awesome! The first ride we went on was Soarin' and it quickly replaced Buzz Lightyear as Noah's favorite ride. We went on it 3 times, then walked out to Paradise Pier. One thing we learned about doing Disney parks with small kids, is you have to do what is close to you, and try to keep the walking to a minimum. Even Isaak had a hard time with all the walking. We did lots of rides that morning, then after lunch saw some great shows, Disney Junior, Muppets 3D, and Aladdin. We spent the evening in Bug Land, then went back to the pier to watch World of Color. We had some time, so we thought we would ride Toy Story Mania again, but the line was 90 min long. Dano won some cute stuffed Dumbos for the kids at the boardwalk and then we watched the show. We didn't get to do half of the things there, but we had a great time! 3 full days of the parks was perfect for our family.

Can't wait for Cars Land to open next summer!
We met Sully outside the Monsters Inc. ride

The kids were so tired after the show, Noah and Kayla slept on eachother the whole walk back to the hotel.
On Saturday morning we checked out of our hotel and drove to Newport Beach. It was the perfect day at the beach. There were no crowds and plenty of warm sunshine. The boys were instantly captivated by the waves and spent the entire day running and playing in them non-stop. We had lunch at Ruby's diner on the pier. Then they wanted to play more in the water, so we ended up staying until about 5pm (later than we had planned). This made for a late drive home, with some pretty tired kids who did not want to sleep in their carseats. But it was all worth it. We love the beach!!!

Seeing that picture of Noah and Kayla asleep in the stroller describes it all! Run and have fun until you drop.
What happy, happy times. Love every picture!

I'm so glad you had a good time and that the kids enjoyed it so much. A great vacation achievement in the Sorensen (now Dayton) tradition. Disneyland has always been magical to me. It's the creativity, the quality, the cleanliness, the attention to every detail, even the landscaping. So much to enjoy and share with the kids.

Kayla is way to cute and very cool in those sunglasses, and I think she knows it.
